The PS-I Power Supply Kit
You simply plug the 2 pins of the PS-I directly into your breadboard. Then plug in a 2.1mm coaxial DC wall transformer (center positive). The LED lights, and the breadboard is powered with a 5V regulated supply. Perfect for Stamp or PIC projects and a great companion to our RS-I kit. This kit uses a standard 7805 which can deliver about 1A at 5V (depending on the wall transformer). Accepts 7.5VDC to 20VDC (up to 35VDC with a larger heat sink). The PS-II accepts between 5.3V and 15V (25V with a larger heat sink) and delivers 500mA at 3.3V. An onboard jumper lets you disconnect the output or measure current drain with a multimeter. This kit is easy to customize. You can use any 78xx regulator if you need a voltage other than 5V. Replace the jack with a 9V battery clip, or wire the output directly to another circuit -- it's up to you. If you have a well-stocked junk box, order the board and manual only. If you want all the parts you need, order the complete kit. The complete kit contains the PC board plus a 7805 regulator, the heat sink, the 2.1mm coaxial plug, capacitors, an LED, and the other hardware you'll need. You supply your own wall transformer and breadboard. Soldering is required, of course (the pictures above show the assembled unit). Get it Now!The PS1 and 2 are currently out of stock
